Lab 5 · Artificial Intelligence

Discovering Artificial Intelligence

AI is already part of their life. Let them learn to use it well.

¿Hola?¡Hola!

Why this lab?

What AI is, what it can do, its limits, privacy, safety, ethics and responsible use.

What artificial intelligence is, what it can and can't do, how to protect their privacy and how to use it with good judgment. A practical, responsible introduction to AI assistants, adapted to each age.

Tool: AI assistants with supervised accounts

  1. 01

Understand what AI is and how it «learns»

  2. 02

Ask good questions (prompts) and verify answers

  3. 03

Protect their privacy and spot scams

  4. 04

Use AI to study and create, not to copy

Live classes · maximum 12 students

This is what a class is like.

  1. 1

    Short demonstration

The teacher shows the challenge in a few minutes.

  2. 2

    Guided practice

The student tries it with support.

  3. 3

    Creation

    They build their own version.

  4. 4

    Presentation

They show what they made and get feedback.

  • Small groups: up to 8 students in Math and 12 in tech
  • Live classes with a virtual whiteboard
  • Challenge- and project-based learning
  • Continuous feedback
  • Responsible AI use and digital citizenship
  • The teacher facilitates and challenges; they don't monopolize the screen

They'll love it if…

Is it for your child?

  • They already use (or want to use) ChatGPT and similar tools
  • They're interested in technology and how it works
  • They're between 6 and 17 years old (age-based content)

Free trial class

In the first class…

  1. 1They play «human or machine?»
  2. 2They ask their first well-formed question to an AI
  3. 3They learn a safety rule they'll always use

Frequently asked questions

About Discovering AI

Is it safe for young children?

Yes. With the youngest, we work with the teacher's accounts, on a shared screen and with activities without direct access.

Do you teach them to do their homework with AI?

We teach them to use it to understand and study, and to tell that apart from copying. Honesty is part of the lab.

What are the classes like?

Live, by video call, in groups of up to 12 students. Every class follows the cycle: short demo, guided practice, creation and presentation.

What do they need to get started?

A computer with internet and headphones. If the lab uses specific software, we'll guide you through installing it before the first class.

How does it start?

With the free assessment: we get to know the student, place their level in Math, and recommend the path and labs based on their age and interests.

Shall we start with Discovering AI?
The first class is free.
